What We Do

a)               Create spaces for debate forums, ideas on the improvement of actual legislation, proposals of change and leadership in Intellectual Property topics with national and international professionals with great expertise in Intellectual Property.

b)               Contribute and collaborate with technical and conceptual knowledge on politics, international and national relations in regard to Intellectual Property.

c)                Serve as a connecting link between international and national entities that dedicate their work to Intellectual Property themes, channeling joint efforts.

d)               Urge authorities to participate in a more active way on the socialization and promotion of Intellectual Property rights.

e)               Encourage training and socialization systems regarding intellectual Property.

f)                Offer education and understanding of Intellectual Property capacities and stimulate respect of the Intellectual Property benefits, legal and technical support, besides other needed topics.

g)               Educate citizens in the general knowledge to their rights in Intellectual Property and information on processes, public or private entities to attend with their doubts, etc

h)               Coordinate and arrange the support from public and private entities, either national or international, for cooperation programs with organizations. Helping communities and individuals  in training systems and IP knowledge exchange, technical assistance, promotion and protection of the investigation, inventive, ancestral knowledge, and allowing organizations to acquire funding for the continuance of their work.

i)                 Encourage and promote inventiveness, research and investigation protection through economic motivation awards for patentable products which at the same time promote the sustainable development of: pro human patent, pro environment, scientifically knowledge, solution to global problems, global warming, and water shortage granted and managed throughout public and private entities.

j)                 Organize events for the promotion of the socialization of rightful knowledge and the correct enforcement of Intellectual Property in business conferences, seminars and workshops, regarding proposals, politics, correctives to legislation, etc. Being able to reach the protection and correct use of IP in national and international scope.

k)               Provide compliance verification audits of Constitutional principles of guarantees towards the rights for knowledge protection and IP protection, in their public and private entities.

l)                Function as an organization that oversees processes that guarantee justice, efficiency and effectiveness in Intellectual Property rights in Ecuador and other countries.
