TRIPS PLUS ULTRA Proposal
To correct the TRIPS Agreement (the World Trade Organization IP agreement) with the insertion of proportionality regarding the contribution of each country to the world’s technological development, measured in years of exclusivity.
How many years for each country? Here is the list by country from a 2014 study.
PRO HUMANO GENERE for this cause has one goal: achieving the political decision of WTO members to generate this reform in the TRIPS Agreement.
A more effective, efficient (in the economic sense), harmonized (the claim is that harmonization could be easier to achieve under an equally-shared global burden system) and just system for everyone is possible. Is convenient for developed countries, least developed countries, and every country in between.
